About Us
Our Story
We're in a once-in-a-generation moment. For the first time, anyone with a story to tell can bring it to life: in film, in games, in experiences we haven't even named yet. The tools that used to require studios and budgets are now accessible to everyone.
Generative AI is the creative Renaissance of our time. It's enabling a new generation of storytellers, artists, and builders to invent a new language, one experiment at a time.
Machine Cinema exists to ride this wave together. We're building the community, events, and shared knowledge that this creative moment needs.
Co-Founders

Minh Do
Minh is an entrepreneur, writer, and educator who has been building at the intersection of media and technology for over a decade. He co-founded Machine Cinema to create the community and educational infrastructure that AI creators need.
As an educator at Be Super, Minh researches, teaches, and creates with the latest AI tools. He also co-founded Fantastic Day, a venture studio working across web3, AI, and emerging tech.
Previously, Minh was Chief Innovation Officer at EST Media Holdings, co-founded the Vietnamese digital media platform Vietcetera (serving as Chief Editor), and worked at Vertex Venture Holdings under Temasek, overseeing investments in companies like Grab, Waze, and Desktop Metal.
Before tech, Minh studied Buddhist philosophy academically and trained as a monk. His background in Theravada, Zen, and Tibetan traditions still shapes how he thinks about technology and creativity.

Fred Grinstein
Fred is a media executive and producer based in Los Angeles with deep experience in film and television. He co-founded Machine Cinema to bridge traditional content and the new creator economy.
Previously, Fred served as Head of Non-Fiction Programming at Anonymous Content, overseeing projects including "Undercurrent: The Disappearance of Kim Wall" (HBO), "At the Ready" (2021 Sundance), and "Murders Before the Marathon" (Hulu).
His independent producing credits include the Oscar-shortlisted "Hidden Letters" (2023) and "Lowndes County and the Road to Black Power" (2022 Tribeca). Earlier in his career, Fred was VP of Development during the launch of Viceland, working with Spike Jonze, and spent five years as Senior Director of Programming at A&E.
